ABOUT OUR BOARDS

Natural, unique, handmade charcuterie and serving boards made from extremely exotic, highly figured, live edge Koa hardwood with durable casting “lava” epoxy. We create and design our lava epoxy combining multiple mica powders and liquid dyes to symbolically represent the lava that created the islands themselves.

Acacia Koa is an extremely unique hardwood that is native solely to the Hawaiian Islands making it VERY rare and hard to source outside of Hawaii. It’s name in the Hawaiian language, Koa, also means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior.

All of our boards are handmade by the Bear and the Wolf in our den and are specifically designed to elevate your living space.

This eye-catching charcuterie and serving board is made from the highest quality hardwood and epoxy that is meant to last years.

With a silky-smooth semi-gloss finish, you are sure to love how this board instantly becomes the perfect accent to the centerpiece of your cozy den.... or cave.

Not only are these boards sanded to 320 grit, they are finished with top of the line, all natural, Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and Wood Wax for additional protection and waterproofing. This product is food safe, solvent free, non-toxic and locks in the natural wood tones while repelling water and food particles when in use.

DIMENSIONS AND DESCRIPTION

This board measures approximately 14.5" long, 8.25" wide, and is 3/4" thick making it the perfect size for serving a large amount of food!

We create our boards from locally sourced live edge hardwood. This hardwood is formed into it’s final design using Liquid Glass epoxy and various metallic powders/liquid dyes to complete the rectangular shape.

CARE

Our charcuterie boards are durable and will need very little upkeep.
DO: Wash with warm, soapy water after each use and allow plenty of time to dry.
DON’T: Soak in water or run through the dishwasher, as it may cause your board to warp and crack.
DO: Oil your board 1-2 times per year or as needed. You can use mineral oil, beeswax, or both. We personally use Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and Wood Wax as we believe it is the best on the market.

ASSEMBLY

Open package, set on table or counter, set food and hors d’oeuvres on top of board. Done.

CUSTOMIZATION

These live edge boards are one of a kind and by nature of being natural we cannot guarantee that one will look like another. That said if you have a favorite type of hardwood or would like to use a certain color dye/mica powder for the epoxy, please do not hesitate to message us directly with your request.

Our live edge charcuterie and serving boards are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, and we do our best to take accurate photographs. The colors/design you receive may look slightly different in person but we do not tint or recolor our photos at all. We do not accept returns but please reach out to us with any issues and we will work with you to find a solution.
